Mission
Success for every student.
Vision
Through a team effort our schools, families and community will prepare students for a successful future. Students will learn to be responsible, productive citizens.
Beliefs
- Everyone has a right to feel physically and emotionally safe at school.
- Each child is important and unique and should be given the opportunity to learn and taught to believe in him/herself.
- A dedicated staff is an integral and essential component of the school system.
- Respect, integrity and trust are essential to positive interaction. We believe students should be treated with respect and we expect them to act responsibly toward other students, teachers and property.
- The district-adopted, standards-based curriculum should be taught at each grade level.
- Every child needs opportunities to become an effective communicator. An effective communicator is one who can present his/her ideas using appropriate written and oral language and is able to use technology to that end.
- There is a direct relationship between expectations and achievement.
- Extra-curricular activities help support education and will be made available to all (secondary) students.
- Communication between schools, community and families is the key to understanding.
- Education is a shared responsibility of students, parents, teachers, support staff, and the community with the family having the primary influence on individual well-being.
- All students have the right to develop aesthetic values through personal involvement in the arts, which will aid in the long-term growth and enrichment of the total person.
